Paint

Tank and Side panels need to be G5 Green.

Leave for three weeks and starts looking a lot better.
Inside very nasty. Add some low acid 5% should do.

Inside now looking good so lets start the outside.
Connect a battery charger and a  Zink bolt to coat
the tank, Well give it a try.

It will be a pain to match but I will find a way.

Off with the Honda badges and start removing old
green paint.

The original paint is called TQ Ilex
Green Metallic Special.
I took the tank to Middleton Panels & Paint
 in Gloucester

Mat has mixed up a relay close match, fingers crossed.

First pass looking great.
Looking better and better.

Filler primer.
Nice ding in the base just
 at the seat line.

My Home made spray
Booth.

With these actual decals they react to thinners so I had to use K2 spray from Middleton Panels & Paint.

First clean well
 Spray with soapy water.

Slowly peel of backing paper
pressing out the water.
Fit Decal in place.

Same with the "preserve nature"
sticker.

Now into my booth for 4
coats of clear coat.

One lug was broken so a melted
 washer covered with fibreglass.
First top coat on 3 more to go.

Primer on and ready for first top
coat.
