Front Wheel re-spoke

Old and rusty



Need new rims



Remove retainer



Clean hub



New bearings

Freeze bearing













Retainer in along with both bearings



All bearings out



   


 

Sorted into two piles



Two types of spokes

Bottom set anti clock ways

Top set pointing clock ways



All the inner spokes first

All inners are in place now





Now start the outers

Last outer sliding through the hub.



One finished front wheell.

All nipples finger tight
with 2 or 3 threads showing

Chek abd adjust outside
 (up and down) first.

Fine tune left to right







Head bearings and fork seals

Out with the old race top and bottom.

In the freezer with the new taper race.

Top one is a little proud but it is OK.

Bottom one spot on.

Fits snugly into place.

Now the nasty fork seals.

Slacken bottom bolt to release internals.

Remove cir clip. a few pumps and out pops the seal.








In with new ones and replace the cir clip add the oil and Bobs your aunty.

Fit to the bike.
